Fantasy Baseball Tool: Automatically Set Lineups for ESPN Leagues
Fantasy Baseball Tool is a Chrome extension developed by ceglierob that aims to automate the process of setting lineups in ESPN fantasy baseball leagues. With this tool, users can prioritize players who are scheduled to play on a given day and maximize their presence in the lineup.
To use the tool, simply install the extension and navigate to the "My Team" tab of your ESPN fantasy baseball league. Once the page loads, you will find a new button labeled "Run" next to "Drop Players". Clicking this button will initiate the program, which takes a few seconds to run. Once it has completed, your lineup will be successfully set.
It's important to note that this tool currently only reliably works in standard ESPN leagues with the default batting slots. It optimizes batters, not pitchers, and does not prioritize players based on their performance. Additionally, it cannot determine if a player is actually playing or if they are out due to injury; it only considers whether their team is playing. The tool is designed for daily usage, but manual skipping to the next day is possible. It's recommended not to navigate to other tabs or click anything while the program is running.
The developer is actively working on expanding the tool's features, including optimizing pitchers, integrating the "Out" injury status, and adding an option to set the lineup for the entire week with one click. Future plans may include player comparison and support for leagues beyond ESPN's standard format.
